Culikid's 11/13 Pot Pie Cooking Class
Learn to make chicken or veggie pot pie perfect for the whole family with Culikid!
Learn hands-on how to make pot pie for whole family to enjoy! This recipe can be made with chicken or made with extra veggies for a vegetarian/vegan option! While Culikid's virtual classes are paced to be accessible for a child with special needs, they are open to everyone! All ages and abilities are welcome to join!
This class will involve using a knife (there is an option to purchase a safe knife at check out), stove, and oven. Adult assistance is suggested if your child or teen needs help with any of the above as well as following verbal directions, staying on task, and self-initiating. It is anticipated that the class will take 1.5 hours.
Ingredients needed include:
- Butter or vegan butter
- Carrots
- Celery
- Onion
- Flour
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Celery seed (optional)
- Thyme (optional)
- Whole milk or non-dairy milk
- Chicken or veggie stock
- Frozen peas
- Cooked chicken or cooked potatoes and mushrooms
- Puff pastry or premade pie dough
- Egg
Register once per household (not for each individual). Once you register, you will be sent the full supply and ingredient list as well as the Zoom meeting link. If you have any questions about the class or ingredients you can substitute, email us at info@culikid.org.
