Get the kids sinking their teeth in something seriously spooky this Halloween as we put a ghoulish twist on cupcakes and cake pops!

With Halloween just around the corner , you might be planning to celebrate a different way with the kids this year. Maybe you're replacing the traditional trick-or-treating in favour of a staying in carving pumpkins and eating spooky snacks. Sound up your [Nightmare on Elm] street? Great! But you'll also need some devilishly good desserts that fit the theme too - which is where these hauntingly delicious bakes treats are sure to get a scream!

In this magical masterclass, our expert French Pastry Chef will guide our mini monster masterchefs through how to make two classic desserts with a terrifying Halloween twist! They will learn how to whip us some spine tingling Spider Cupcakes and some creepy Eyeball Cake Pops! Both of these recipes are nut-free!

Feel free to dress up in your spookiest attire as we celebrate Halloween in a deliciously different way!

With the world divided in isolation, our mission is to work around the social distancing barrier and bring kids together virtually in the comfort of your own home!

WHO: Get the family together for a fun foodie experience and ready to meet other like-minded children and their parents with a passion for food! We strongly advise that your child/ren are accompanied by a supervising adult incase they need any additional assistance in the kitchen!

WHAT: Our interactive and friendly Zoom cooking classes are a great way to socialise, have some fun and meet with some new foodie friends, whilst also refining your cooking skills and learning how to dish up a delicious meal by our expert culinary Instructors!

WHERE: From the comfort of your own home! All you need is access to Zoom on your device of choice and we will take care of the rest!

HOW: Once we have confirmation of your ticket purchase, we will send you all the necessary instructions including your Zoom meeting ID and password, a list of the ingredients you will need and the recipe for the evening!

Upon arriving to your cooking class, we will welcome you and your fellow foodies with an introduction and quick demonstration from our expert culinary instructor. You will then embark on your culinary adventure with the group whilst also having the opportunity to interact with our Chef Instructor throughout and asking questions as you wish.

At the end of our class, we will come together and debrief about how we all went, whilst feasting on the fruits of our labour family style!

DRESS: We would love to make this experience as authentic as possible so feel free to dress up in your spookiest halloween dress or just feel free to impress with your home-styled hairdo and smart-casual, fun and fabulous attire!

Your host will be French Pastry Chef and Chocolatier, Alexandre Charasse. Alexandre works brilliantly hosting children's cooking classes and loves cooking in the kitchen with his two-year old son Enzo!

Chef Alexandre's impressive culinary career has seen him in three Michelin star institutions, luxury hotels, cruise liners and private yachts. In 2009 Chef Alexandre ventured to Melbourne and debuted as a Pastry Chef at renowned three hat restaurant Vue De Monde. He then went on to master High Tea at the Hotel Windsor, and has graced iconic Melbourne institutions including the National Gallery of Victoria, the Regent Theatre, Chez Dre Cafe and Bibelot South Melbourne. Chef Alexandre now shares his culinary knowledge and passion with the next generation of chefs at Melbourne Polytechnic.

Foolproof You don’t need a candy thermometer Valentine’s Day Toffee Ingredients Saltine Crackers – Salted, to create the toffee base. You can also use Ritz Crackers, Club Crackers or Graham Crackers. 'I Heart You' Rice Krispy Treats!

An easy Valentine's Day treat to share with your loved ones! Prep Time: 25 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 35 minutes Servings: 14 INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 bag of large marshmallows 6 cups rice krispy cereal 1 bag of dark chocolate chips 4 ounce white chocolate chips Valentine's day sprinkles Heart shaped cookie cutter Cooking spray INSTRUCTIONS Prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray. Set aside. Also prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside. In a large stockpot, melt 3 tbsp. of butter on medium high heat then add in the bag of marshmallows. Stir the marshmallows until they all melt. You must keep stirring to avoid burning the marshmallows. As soon as the marshmallows are all melted, remove from heat and pour in the rice krispies. Mix it all together until all the rice krispies are coated in marshmallow. Pour the mixture into the baking dish then spray your hands with cooking spray. Using your hands, press down the rice krispies in the baking pan. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, press it into the rice krispy to cut out the heart shapes then place them on the prepared baking sheet. Keep doing so until you run out of space, then reform the rice krispies and continue to cut out until you can't anymore. Let the rice krispies rest for 15 minutes to harden up. In the meantime, over a double boiler, melt your dark chocolate and white chocolate in 2 separate shallow bowls. When ready, take a heart and dip the bottom side of it into the dark chocolate then lay down the non-chocolate dipped side on the parchment paper. Continue until all hearts have been dipped in chocolate. Pop the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to let the chocolate harden. When ready, flip the hearts over and drizzle white chocolate on the non-chocolate dipped side with a fork and sprinkle the sprinkles on top. Store in an airtight container.
