This free printable
Print out the fortune teller template and trim off the excess paper, leaving you with a square. Fold the paper in half, point to point. Crease it then open it up again and repeat with the other two points.
Turn the printable over so that the design side is facing down. Using the creases to help guide you, fold each point into the center.
Turn the folded paper upside down and repeat the process of folding each point up into the center.
Turn the paper over again and fold it in half and crease it. Open it up and fold it in half the other way, creasing it again.
Insert your thumb and index finger into two of the square pockets, and do the same thing with your other thumb and index finger.
To operate the cootie catcher, open and close in both directions using your fingers. Opening the catcher in one direction will display the letters “LUCK” and in the other direction will display the colors blue, green, yellow and red.
How to Play:
Pick a number from 1-4 (fortune teller opens and closes catcher that many times)
Choose either a color or a letter, depending on where the catcher ended up (fortune teller opens and closes catcher by spelling the color or spelling the word luck up until they reach your letter).
Select which section you would like read to you.

Today's pom pom rainbow project was worth every minute (or about 2 hours if you can spare it!)
But as we wait, today's pom pom rainbow project was worth every minute (or about 2 hours if you can spare it!) I love the way it turned out, and it's also a piece that can hang up well beyond springtime and then some!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
1 5/8" & 1 3/8" pom pom makers OR colourful pom poms
Yarn in six colours: Pink, yellow, green, blue, purple and white
Embroidery scissors
Cardboard piece (approx. 11" x 7.5")
Hot glue gun with extra sticks
Heavy duty scissors
DIRECTIONS:
Make all the pom poms first according to the instructions (this part takes the longest). Use the smaller of the two pom pom makers to create poms in the rainbow colours: 9 pink, 7 yellow, 5 green, 3 blue, and 1 purple. Use the larger maker to make 6 white poms to form the clouds. Note: you can increase the overall size of the rainbow by using larger pom pom makers. Then give yourself more time.
Glue the pom poms to the cardboard piece, starting with the purple pom pom in the centre and working your way out. Do this by adding the glue to the cardboard rather than the pom pom. Squish them tightly together so that there's no gaps between the poms. After all the poms are secured in the pattern shown, use scissors strong enough to cut through cardboard to cut around the poms and create the shape of the rainbow.
It's light enough and holds well, which is perfect for temporary locations.

To make this St. Patrick’s Day craft you’ll need:
Markers
clover template
a thin paper plate
cotton balls
green construction paper
yarn or string
glue
Cut your paper plate in half.
Paint arches to make a rainbow on half of the plate.
Cut out the center of the arch that did not get painted.
Cut four pieces of yarn in varying lengths and glue them to the back of the plate. If you want faster drying time, I suggest using a glue stick or even some tape.
Cut a bunch of clovers out of green construction paper using the template provided. You can either do this ahead of time or have the kids do it. Fold the paper like an accordion to cut more at a time.
Glue the clovers on the string using a glue stick. Use two clovers for each one and sandwich the yarn in between.
Pull apart two cotton balls and glue one to each end of the rainbow to make clouds.
That’s it! Such a great St. Patrick’s Day craft for the kids.
Tape them up on the sliding glass door - they look so pretty!

Sure to delight the little leprechauns in your life, these charming cupcakes are easy for even busy moms and dads to make.
Ingredients
1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1 1/2 cups marshmallows from Lucky Charms™ cereal
Rainbow candy sprinkles, if desired
1 container Betty Crocker™ Whipped fluffy white frosting
Green food color
Steps
Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
Make cake batter as directed on box. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, about two-thirds full. Bake about 20 minutes or until cupcakes spring back when touched in center. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely, about 30 minutes
Using serrated knife, cut a divot out of center of each cupcake, about 1 inch deep; reserve cutout cake pieces. Fill each cupcake with 1 tablespoon Lucky Charms™ marshmallows (about 10 pieces). Sprinkle in a few rainbow candy sprinkles. Trim reserved cake pieces flat, and cover holes in filled cupcakes.
Spoon frosting into medium bowl; stir in enough food color for desired green color. Transfer frosting to decorating bag fitted with large star tip, and pipe on tops of cupcakes. Or, frost cupcakes with an offset spatula. Garnish with rainbow candy sprinkles.
Store cupcakes at room temperature loosely covered with plastic wrap.
