Initially built as a recreational course in 2013, a budget of just over $ 409,000 was allocated by the City of Montreal just two years later for the complete reconstruction of the track. The redesign involved the participation of the Fédération des sports cyclistes du Québec and professionals in the field. In 2019, further work was done when lights were installed as part of the Programme des installations sportives extérieures (PISE).
The almost three metre-wide course totals 280 linear metres, and includes hydraulic starting gates with lights, 13 jumps, 14 flat and three asphalt curves. The four-lane starting grid lets more advanced bikers quickly gain speed while the layout of the track allows children and beginners to use the easier sections.
Unique on the island, the track is certified for regional level competitions and has hosted high level competitions such as the 51st Finale des Jeux du Québec in 2016.
The BMX track is accessible to the public at no charge from sunrise to sunset, except for periods when The BMX Montreal club is holding events or classes (the club has priority on the track from May to October, Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) If you’re interested in joining the club or learning more about lessons, visit their website at bmxmontreal.com

If staying at home has everyone feeling like you’re climbing the walls, we suggest climbing a treehouse instead! Treewalk Village with locations in Stouffville and Hamilton, lets kids live out their treehouse dreams. Children will love climbing up into the treehouses and let their imagination lead the way while exploring these magical villages!
The network of treehouses features 8 feet tall hammocks, nets, and wood bridges. Kids can zip back down to the ground though tube slides, and play on the treewee obstacle courses and other forest games!
This is a 2 hour activity which is deal for ages 3-7 ― though it is open to all ages.
Due to limited capacity at the park, spaces are very limited and Treewalk Village is booking quickly. Be sure to reserve well ahead of time.
Ever consider becoming a phys-ed teacher?
With weekend visits at Treewalk Village selling out like crazy, why not take the kids over during the week? This would help keep them active after a long day of virtual learning. Make it a fun after-school activity which will give them some much needed exercise and fresh air!
Advanced reservations are required. Find more info, hours and rates at www.treetoptrekking.com and book your tickets here.
Full COVID-19 procedures are in place for the safety of all guests. Capacity is reduced in the villages and walkways are now one directional. Hand sanitizer is readily available for little hands. Parents are asked to ensure kids are maintaining a 2-metre spacing.
