Pesach: Passover Traditions From Around the World
An interactive lecture with host Avi Hoffman and Arona Roshal about Passover Traditions from around the world.
Growing up in Chicago, IL, Arona Fay Roshal’s parents encouraged her to use her writing talents. By experimenting with poetry forms and word usage, she uncovered her ability to write humorous poems. Often written from a child’s perspective, Arona’s poetry tends to be playful and funny. Sometimes her poems are enriched with Hebrew words or Yiddish phrases. She has even written poems in Hebrew. Her haiku poems have been published in Haiku Journal. She wrote her thesis, Using Creative Dramatics to Improve Problem-Solving Behavior, to fulfill the requirements for her masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a co-author of the catalog, Tools, Equipment & Machinery Adapted for the Vocational Education & Employment of Handicapped People.
During half-time of the Minnesota Timberwolves versus Maccabi Haifa game, in October 2012, she performed with an Israeli folk dance group. Arona and her husband live in St. Paul, MN, where she enjoys presenting workshops on positive self-talk and making snow angels.
Three times Arona was a featured artist at an Artist Salon in St. Paul.
