Learn the skills needed in creative projects and become a budding artist. See how magazines, maps, printed papers, painted papers and other can be combined to create wonderful pieces of art! From portraiture to landscapes, students will learn how well-known artists approached their art to develop their own masterpieces.
Details:
- Hb pencil
- Eraser
- Sharpener
- Magazines, maps, scrapbooking papers, newspaper and other
- Watercolour colour or mixed media paper pad (XL Canson, 9x12" or larger)
- Acrylic paint set (Cyan, magenta red or primary red, yellow, white, & black)
- Variety of synthetic brushes from detail size to 1 inch
- Water container
- Paper towel
- Round plastic plate or painting palette
- 2 Printed portrait close up photo images
- Scissors
- White glue or glue stick
Upon registration, you will be sent the Class Meeting ID and the Password needed to gain access to the class. This information will be sent the day before your class is scheduled to start as a security feature. The same meeting ID will be used for the duration of the term, unless otherwise indicated.
To participate in one of our virtual classes, you will require the following:
- A computer (laptop or desktop, with an internal microphone and camera) OR a newer model iPad, Tablet, iPhone or Smart Phone.
Please make sure that you have hands-free capability, using a stand or tripod - A stable WIFI connection
- The Zoom application (free when you sign up)
- Materials for the class that you registered for (see individual material lists provided for each class)
- A quiet work area for creating and participating in your class
Please Note: A class breakdown will be provided before the first class along with your Zoom credentials via email.
