Afternoon Farm Tours for Toddlers and Kids

Fun

Reconnect with nature via an interactive farm visit. Feed the ducks, bunnies, chickens, sheep and goats, interact with a farm dog and learn about beehives. The tour is suitable for children aged 2 & up.

  • Strollers are not permitted on the farm.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please wear long pants and summer hat.
  • Bug repellent is MUST.
  • Registration is mandatory for each family.

Main Activity - Evening Routine at Project PACE farm

  • Feeding chickens and ducks
  • helping the farmer to get duckling and ducks to their coops
  • getting goats & sheep to their barns
  • learning about the beehives
  • playing with the farm dog

Optional Activity - Visiting Verger Pépinière Bord-du-Lac

  • Exploring the life of hens and roosters in the orchard
  • decorating the chicken coops
  • each family gets a gift!

Details

The tour is geared more towards kids aged 5 and up, but is open for everyone. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The tour is composed of two parts:

1) Main activity - Evening routine at Project PACE farm - starts at 5 PM and lasts from 45 mins to 1 hour. Please arrive on time.

2) Optional activity - Decorating chicken coops at Verger Pépinière Bord-du-Lac orchard - starts right after the main activity is over, and lasts from 45 mins to 1 hour.

Registration is mandatory for each family. One ticket per family is required. Please note that we limit the number of visitors per tour. When you reserve your tickets, but don't come you make it impossible for other people interested in this event to join it. Please inform us as soon as possible in case you cannot come. If you'd like to come to the farm on a specific date, but all tickets are sold out, please contact us and we will see what can be done. This tour is offered in English.

Payment & Refund Policy

The cost per family of up to 5 people (including tax) is:

  • for complete tour including main and optional activities: $20
  • for only the main activity: $12

Each additional person should pay extra $5. Cancellations are permitted 48 hours prior to tour date by e-mailing info@projectpace.ca.

Project PACE reserves the right to cancel tours and refund payments due to bad weather or other emergency reasons.

What to Wear and Bring With You

  • Appropriate clothes that you don't mind when it becomes dirty.
  • Long sleeves and long pants are recommended even when it's hot outside.
  • Rubber boots or running shoes.
  • Bug repellent is MUST ❗️
  • Sunscreen is optional.
  • Summer hat is strongly recommended as it protects you not only from the sun, but also from mosquitoes and flies.
  • Water and a snack for your child.
  • A good mood and a positive energy!

The best is to search for Project PACE on Google Maps. If you're coming from Cherrier, then when on Montee-Wilson, continue ~ 100m after intersection with Chemin Monk. The entrance to the farm will be on your right. There will be a sign! Please park by the road.

Additional Notes

We are an off-grid farm with free-range animals, mosquitoes and flies, a deep pond, and a forest, with all its inherent risks involved. If you or someone in your family is not feeling well or has a cold or fever, please cancel or reschedule your visit on the farm. A full refund will be issued in a case of cancellation due to a sickness. Please note that we don't have access to running water, electricity or bathrooms at this time. Please try to use the bathrooms (and have your kids use the bathroom) before you arrive. Otherwise, we have acres of forest for you to use!
