Keep the kids busy this fall with Pencils! the FREE online drawing class from Kids Market and Luminous Elephant.

Explore the classic art of drawing/sketching with pen, inks, pencils, crayons (whatever you have at home!) in a lively, uplifting and virtual playful class that will have your kids sketching beautifully.

For kids aged 6-12 | Limited to 15 participants

Event is hosted on Zoom, you do not need an account to participate. Your link will be emailed with your confirmation. Waiting room opens 5 minutes before class.

If you are entertaining multiple children, please register for multiple tickets so classes remain at a small size to enable our instructor Sherry to interact and assist each artist.

If you are unable to make it, please release your ticket as we are collecting a waitlist.

Registration opens the Sunday before class and closes one hour before class begins.

Make String Heart Yarn Cards

Here’s a fun handmade Valentine’s Day card kids can make that encourages fine motor skills with a little bit of threading activity. These yarn hearts make beautiful and colorful cards with texture! String Heart Yarn Cards – Materials: – colorful yarn – thick card stock cut out to the size you want or use these watercolor postcards – large threading needle – pencil, eraser, scissors – heart template (we used a cookie cutter) Instructions: Step 1. Trace your heart template onto the cards with a pencil. Step 2. Punch holes alongside the heart with your needle. Erase your pencil marks. Step 3. Thread yarn through the holes in various directions. Cut off the yarn on the underside and tie up. You’re done.
