For the little artist who loves to get their hands into all kinds of materials to create their masterpieces! From paint, papers, canvas, recycled materials and more, you will explore art and design, texture, collage, colour, building and composition. You will develop and exercise your creative skills while discovering techniques for combining painting, collage, drawing, assemblage and sculpture. You will learn how to mix and combine materials using the elements and principles of design to create dramatic effects. The result will be the creation of numerous one-of-a-kind, colourful art pieces that show off your unique personality.
Details:
- 1 piece of white bristol board, cardboard sheet, or large thicker paper (plus cardboard scraps)
- Tin foil sheet
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Acrylic paints
- Brushes
- Water Container
- Mixed media or watercolour paper (thicker paper, med size)
- Variety of dry materials (pencil crayons, crayons, oil pastels, markers)
- Paper plate or cardboard circle
- Shells, stones, gems, pipe cleaners, pom poms, sponges, etc.
- Construction or patterned paper
- Model Magic (or air dry clay)
- A box, shoebox or small box
- Paint palette
- Egg carton
- String or yarn
- A computer (laptop or desktop, with an internal microphone and camera) OR a newer model iPad, Tablet, iPhone or Smart Phone.
Please make sure that you have hands-free capability, using a stand or tripod - A stable WIFI connection
- The Zoom application (free when you sign up)
- Materials for the class that you registered for (see individual material lists provided for each class)
- A quiet work area for creating and participating in your class
