Share the fun of a holiday toast with your little ones with this festive and age-appropriate party drink!
These Mocktails only take three ingredients. They’re sweet, colorful, and bubbly. Just the sort of festive drink to serve to kids on New Year’s Eve, on Christmas, or at a birthday party! If you have older kids, you can even get them in on the fun of making them.
On a parenting note, in addition to being easy and fun, this indulgent drink can be made a touch healthier. Eliminate artificial ingredients and dyes by using organic apple cider and gummy bears. I guarantee that the kids will never know the difference.
So, perhaps it’s the end of an era. No more ushering the kids off to bed so that Mom and Dad can enjoy a New Year’s Eve night of grown-up-ness together. But perhaps it’s the beginning of a new era and a New Year of bringing in the promise of good things to come and of family fun with a toast and some gummy bears.
INGREDIENTS
8 plastic stemless champagne flutes
8 plastic swizzle sticks
8 fun paper straws
1 toothpick
2 25.4 oz bottles of sparkling apple cider
10 oz of gummy bears*
¼ C granulated sugar
a shallow dish with water
INSTRUCTIONS
Place one of each color of gummy bears onto 8 plastic swizzle sticks. To do this, first poke the gummy bears, one at a time, all the way through with a toothpick. This will make it so that you can more easily get the swizzle stick through each bear.
Coat each champagne flute's rim with sugar. One at a time, dip the rim of each flute into a shallow dish of water and then into a shallow dish of granulated sugar. Next, drop a small handful of gummy bears at the bottom of each champagne flute. I used two of each color because I like things to be symmetrical. If your party guests are little kids, consider using one of each color (i.e., less sugar in hyper kids).
Pour sparkling apple cider into each flute until it is three quarters of the way full. Garnish with the gummy bear swizzle sticks. Finally, add a fun party straw to each flute. Don skip this step, because I find that straws make kids less likely to spill! Serve immediately.
NOTES
*Many gummy bears contain gelatin. To make this recipe vegetarian and vegan, Annie's Bunny Fruit Snacks and Surf Sweet Organic Fruity Bears will meet your needs.**To make this recipe less processed and more healthful, consider purchasing organic sparkling apple cider and organic gummy bears.

INGREDIENTS
2 (13 7/8 ounce) cans pizza dough
1 1⁄2 cups pizza sauce
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1 red bell pepper, small diced
1 yellow bell pepper, small diced
1 green bell pepper, small diced
1 small red onion, small diced
1 zucchini, small diced
4 ounces mushrooms, small diced
2 ounces sliced pepperoni, small diced
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Working with one at a time, unroll pizza dough onto a cutting board with the longest side parallel to the edge of the counter. Cut in half vertically, then use a sharp knife to cut out the numbers 2 and 0. Transfer numbers to a prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, cut out the numbers 1 and 9 and transfer to second baking sheet.
Bake for 6 minutes, remove from oven and top each number with pizza sauce, spreading to cover dough to the edges. Top sauce with shredded mozzarella, diced red, yellow and green peppers, onions, zucchini, mushrooms and pepperoni.
Bake for 8-10 minutes longer until crust is golden and toppings are cooked. Serve on a large platter or cutting board with the numbers 2019 next to each other.

These countdown cookies are just as fun for a New Year's party centerpiece as they are for your guests to take home as favors.
Materials Needed:
sugar cookie dough (recipe below)
cookie cutters in number shapes
cookie cutter in round shape, approximately 3-4 inches across
royal icing, white (recipe below)
food-grade glitter or silver spray paint
pastry bag and fine tip
cake stand
cellophane bags and ribbon
Bake Sugar Cookie NumbersYou’ll need 10 cookies, numbered 10 to 1 and 10 round cookies (2 1/2 inches across) for the bases.
Basic sugar cookie recipe:3 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder2 sticks butter, unsalted, softened1 cup granulated sugar1 large egg1/2 teaspoon kosher salt1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sift together the flour and baking powder. In a mixing bowl, beat the room temperature butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Scrape the bowl at least once while mixing. Add in the egg and mix until fluffy and pale in color. Add salt and vanilla extract. Slowly add flour mixture (1 cup at a time) and stir until incorporated. Don't be afraid to use your hands a little to form a uniform cookie dough. Form the dough into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. If the dough gets too hard to roll let soften a bit before rolling the dough. Preheat oven to 360 degrees F.
Roll the dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper to 5/16 inch (about 7 mm) thick.
Using number cookie cutters cut out numbers from 1 to 10, as well as small 2.5 inch rounds. Place the cut cookie shapes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Place cookies in the fridge to harden for about 5 minutes and then put them in the oven.
Bake the cookies for approximately 8-10 minutes. Rotate sheets halfway through for even baking.Remove cookies from the oven and allow to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes. Do not attempt to move the cookies at this stage as they are too soft and will break. Slowly remove cookies from the sheet using a wide spatula, place them on the cooling rack and let cool completely.
Apply IcingStart by piping thick royal icing all the way around the numbers. Then flood each cookie with a thinner icing. Let them dry completely.
Basic royal icing recipe:4 cups powdered sugar2 1/2 tablespoons meringue powder2 tablespoons plus 1/4 tablespoon water1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract
In a clean stainless steel bowl whisk together water and meringue powder, add powdered sugar and using your stand mixer (or you can use hand-held mixer, too), beat until stiff and glossy peaks are formed, about 5 minutes with stand mixer and 7 minutes with hand-held mixer. Add vanilla extract and beat for an additional minute. Scrape icing into an airtight bowl and cover tightly with a lid to prevent drying.
Add GlitterUse a food-grade spray paint and stencil or food glitter to embellish cookies. If using a stencil, position it directly on top of the cookie and simply spray over with a food-grade spray paint. Gently lift the stencil to reveal the stenciled pattern. Continue with remaining cookies until you are done with all the numbers. If you prefer, simply spray the whole cookie or use food glitter to create a clean look. Let cookies dry before handling.
Attach BasesUsing a stiff royal icing, attach numbers onto the round cookies. Add support with a piece of paper towel or plastic wrap propped up against them while drying.
Set Up DisplayDisplay on the table for a pretty edible decoration, or wrap cookies for individual favors.

A delicious and easy chocolate fondue recipe with fun dipping skewers and other dipper ideas. It's a perfect sweet treat to share with others at the table.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN CHOCOLATE FONDUE?
The ingredients in this chocolate fondue are so simple! The main ingredients is chocolate. For the best tasting chocolate I recommend using a higher quality baking chocolate such as Ghirardelli or Bakers Secret. We don’t like our fondue to be overly sweet so we use a mixture of semi-sweet chocolate and milk chocolate. If you like a sweeter chocolate you can use more milk chocolate than semi-sweet.

HOW TO MAKE EASY CHOCOLATE FONDUE
Put fondue ingredients in a medium sized saucepan.
Whisk on medium heat until all ingredients melt and incorporate together. Add more heavy whipping cream if needed.
Serve immediately with skewers and goodies.
There are so many fun dipper options when eating chocolate fondue. Prepare a platter of goodies surrounding the chocolate for a fun way to serve and enjoy a sweet treat with friends.

Instructions
Prepare skewers using small skewer sticks (easier dipping). Add a marshmallow, piece of angel food cake and a strawberry. Repeat until desired amount of skewers are completed. Set aside.
Put chocolate fondue ingredients in a medium sized saucepan. Whisk on medium heat until all ingredients melt and incorporate together.
Serve immediately with skewers and goodies. If it begins to thicken or cools, just pop in the microwave at 10 second increments to warm it again.

A smooth and creamy homemade hot chocolate made from white chocolate chips, with just the right touch of mint.
Ingredients
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
1/2 bag white chocolate chips
1 tsp peppermint extract
2-3 drops food coloring green
Crushed Andes mints and Whipped Cream for garnish
Instructions
In a large pot, add milk, half & half and heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
Add white chocolate chips and stir until completely melted.
Add extract and food coloring. Stir well.
Top with Whipped Cream and Andes. Serve warm.

Un chocolat chaud maison, onctueux et crémeux, fait à partir de pépites de chocolat blanc, avec juste la bonne touche de menthe.
Ingrédients
2 tasses de lait
2 tasses moitié-moitié
1/2 sachet de pépites de chocolat blanc

2-3 gouttes de colorant alimentaire vert

INGREDIENTS
2 cups almond milk (or your milk of choice)
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Warm the almond milk in a small saucepan, then whisk in the cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk well to remove any lumps from the cocoa.
Optional: place in your blender (make sure the cocoa isn’t too hot – you don’t want to get burned) and blend until frothy.
Serve warm.

INSTRUCTIONS
Chauffez le lait d'amande dans une petite casserole, puis ajoutez en fouettant la poudre de cacao, le miel et l'extrait de vanille. Fouettez bien pour éliminer les grumeaux de cacao.
Facultatif : mettez dans votre mixeur (veillez à ce que le cacao ne soit pas trop chaud - vous ne voulez pas vous brûler) et mixez jusqu'à ce que le mélange soit mousseux.
