Sea to Sky Engineering

Sea to Sky Engineering program offered for July 11-15, 2022 and August 8-12, 2022

Put on your engineering hats and jump into the world of sustainable engineering, exploring from the depths of the sea to the heights of the sky. Learn about the importance of the world around us, the challenges we face like oil spills, how they impact our environment and how engineer solutions preserve our world for the future.

Expedition Exploration

Expedition Exploration program offered for July 18-22,2022 and August 15-19, 2022

Journey through the many extreme environments found on our planet. Discover what can survive within an active volcano or at the bottom of the ocean. Learn why animals and plants in an ecosystem depend on each other for survival. Put on your adventure hats and find out about the coolest (and hottest) places on the planet.

Shipwrecked

Shipwrecked program offered for July 25-29,2022 and Aug 22-26, 2022

Have you ever wanted to find a treasure of your own? Put on your pirate uniform and venture on an expedition of the world to find uncover the mystery and treasure that is hidden in the depths of the earth.

Terms and Guidelines for Participants

We have outlined some of our community and registration guidelines below to create a safe, respectful and inclusive experience for all participants. When you are registering, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

COVID-19 Protocols

1. All campers, parents and guardians are required to wear a mask while inside SFU campuses.

2. If your child is sick or not feeling well, please stay home. Temperature check will be conducted at sign-in. If a camper displays a higher than normal temperature, they will not be admitted. For this reason, an adult must be present during sign-in and sign-out.

3. Hand-washing time will be frequently scheduled throughout the day. Washing your hands correctly is the best way to stop the spread of infections!

4. There is absolutely no sharing of food and drinks between campers.

5. Be kind and respectful of others as we navigate the pandemic together!

Ticket refunds

Please note that the camp fee is not refundable less than 7 days before the first day of camp.

Community guidelines

By registering for this camp, you are acknowledging and agreeing that the FAS Outreach Program reserves the right to refuse further attendance by any participant for infractions of community guidelines without refund of camp fee.

Photography consent

During registration, you will be asked to provide consent for photography. You have the option to select No if you prefer your child not to be photographed. If you select Yes, you will be agreeing to the following terms:

Photography of participants

We would like to seek your permission to photograph your child during the event, to help with future promotions of our programs. By giving us our consent, you authorize the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) Outreach program of Simon Fraser University to photograph, audio record, video record, podcast and/or webcast your child (digitally or otherwise) without charge; and to allow the FAS Outreach Program to copy, modify and distribute in print and online, those images that include your child in whatever appropriate way either the FAS Outreach Program and/or SFU sees fit without having to seek further approval. No names will be used in association with any images or recordings.
