Ready to get your kids out of the house this summer? After last year’s virtual camps, Concordia Athletics Camps are back with in-person sessions for 2021 and have added an additional location downtown.

Campers will stay busy with the action-packed camps available in one-week sessions throughout the summer. Concordia University students with a variety of backgrounds and Stinger athletes will help keep campers engaged, while a lower number of campers and reduced camper-to-staff ratio will ensure everyone stays safe.

Multi-activity camp and hockey camp

This summer, parents can choose to send older kids to the new space at Concordia’s downtown campus on de Maisonneuve Blvd. “The last couple of summers we’ve been transporting kids from our Loyola campus to downtown for different activities and games. This year, the downtown location definitely provides another alternative for parents who work downtown or commute to work,” said Krzysztof Kmiecik, Community Programming Coordinator at Concordia University.

This camp will keep kids 6 to 12 active with themed weeks, and various of activities each day.
Campers will explore a variety of sports and cultural activities including soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, theatre, science, martial arts, and much more. On hot days, kids will have a chance to cool off with water games.
Nine sessions of one week each begin June 28, 2021, and run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Camp at this new location will also offer a variety of daily activities and themed weeks, but is reserved for kids 8 to 12 years old. The same choice of sports and cultural activities will be offered as at the Loyola location, and six, week-long sessions are available starting July 5, 2021.

Hockey camps
Boys are girls who have been missing hockey this season have the opportunity to play at the Loyola Campus in N.D.G. Members of Concordia’s men’s and women’s hockey teams will help campers improve their on-ice skills in at The Ed Meagher Arena. Players will also practice hockey-specific off-ice training and take part in other recreational activities. All safety measures will be followed with a limited number of spaces per week and a camper-staff ratio of 4:1. Staff are under the supervision of the Stingers’ head coaches. There are two age groups: 7 to 9, and 10 to 12, and six, week-long sessions available starting June 28, 2021.
The cost per week is $400, with discounts for multiple weeks and siblings.
Extended Care: Free early drop-off service from 8 to 9 a.m. Late pick-up service from 4 to 5 p.m. ($35 per week)
