The Giving Place | Lavender & Honey Farm

The Giving Place is located in the quaint town of Mt. Albert, Ontario on 8 1/2 acres of land. This small, all natural, and pesticide free family farm has planted over 2,000 English and French lavender plants. The Giving Place is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of busy days.

The farm is open Monday to Saturday however it is closed for walk in’s so you will need to make an appointment.

The Sunday Market is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. A wide range of natural products including honey are offered. Curbside pickup is available when you shop online. Find chocolate covered strawberries with lavender, and smash cakes!

Our Story

We are located in the quaint town of Mt. Albert, Ontario on 8 1/2 acres of land. As a small, all natural, and pesticide free family farm, we have big hearts and dreams to share with you! Our journey started spring of 2018. We planted over 2000 lovely Lavender plants of English and French varieties in our newly cleared fields, and quickly added 5 beautiful bee hives to share our space. We are learning as we grow and want to offer the most brilliant experiences of lavender that we can, from natural products, bouquets and some weekend visits starting summer of 2019.

It all started with a vision,

and honestly if you had told me two years ago that I was going to plant 2200 lavender plants by hand, buy 5 bee hives (which I am allergic to), plant a small field of wildflowers and sunflowers, fill the pond with fish, build a chicken coop and add some rescue bunnies… I wouldn’t have ever believed you! But guess what! I am doing it and loving every minute! 

My land continually gives in so many ways. That is why it is called “The Giving Place” The earth gives us everything in its most natural form, so I want to share it with you.

The Giving Place is a place to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy days, to take a moment and breathe. To enjoy our fields and smell the lavender!

Our Lavender

Our Lovely Lavender and Sunny Sunflowers grow lovingly and naturally pesticide free, in our whimsical fields along with our wildflowers and our beautiful honey bees!

Our Lavender, from Lavandula Angustifolia, comes in several varieties of English, Super Blue and Phenomenal. Our Sunflowers come from the Russian Mammoth Variety, naturally beautiful, bright and full of sunflower seeds for you or the birds to enjoy!
